Twenty-one distinguished students from the Faculty of Engineering at EUI have earned the chance to spend their senior year at Purdue University West Lafayette (PWL). This prestigious opportunity arises from our dual degree partnership with Purdue University's Department of Computer Science, promising a valuable and enriching academic experience.

We are delighted to announce that seven outstanding students from the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences at EUI have been selected to spend their senior year at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (UMN). This opportunity is made possible through our dual degree partnership with UMN’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Notably, six of these students achieved a stellar Term GPA of 4.0 in their Database Management blended course, while one earned an impressive A-.

Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) has signed a mutual cooperation agreement with BARQ Systems to fund scholarships for outstanding students enrolled in the faculties of Engineering, Business Informatics, Computing and Information Sciences, and Digital Arts and Design. This initiative aims to enhance the scientific capabilities of top-performing students and equip them with the necessary skills for the job market.The scholarships provided by EUI are fully funded for top high school graduates of legitimate certifcates, allowing them to study in one of the 16 specialized programs in the fields of communications, information technology, and data science. This presents a strong opportunity to study at one of the top specialized universities in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa.The agreement between EUI and BARQ Systems targets the funding of a specific number of scholarships, covering the tuition fees. Additionally, it includes training EUIans within the company, as part of a strategy to empower leading and outstanding young talents, ensuring their integration into vital jobs post-graduation. This aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development, which places great emphasis on investing in human capital. Moreover, the students will be trained on the latest technologies governing the communications, information technology, and data science sectors, and their related fields.The signage was attended by Prof. Reem Bahgat, EUI’s President, and  Mr. Ahmed Salama, Sales Manager for the Public and Education Sector at BARQ Systems, along with a number of representatives from both sides.Prof. Bahgat praised the signing of this agreement, highlighting the importance of such partnerships between the university as a leading educational institution and BARQ Systems, one of the foremost companies in the technology, cybersecurity solutions, and data and information infrastructure sectors. This collaboration contributes to the concerted efforts to benefit the educational system, elevate future generations, and provide the future with cadres capable of handling its advancements and modernities.She also confirmed that the scholarships provided by BARQ Systems make the company a silver sponsor for the university. These agreements align with EUI’s commitment and vision to collaborate with leading organizations to enhance efforts aimed at elevating the university's graduates to the highest levels according to global standards.Mr. Ahmed Salama, Sales Manager for the Public and Education Sector at BARQ Systems, stated, "We believe that education unleashes potential and contributes to empowering young people to achieve success. EUI Hosts a Forum on "Developing the Faculties of Arts and Music in the Context of Digital Technology"  On its campus located in the Knowledge City of the New Administrative Capital, Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) hosted the scientific forum of the Arts and Music Education Sector Committee. The event was held under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities. The forum aimed to develop the sector’s faculties in the context of digital technology to produce graduates who meet the needs of the labor market. The arts sector is experiencing rapid changes, necessitating the modernization of arts colleges' curricula to keep pace with these developments.The forum, titled "A Vision for Developing Work in Sector Faculties in the Context of Digital Technology," discussed the evaluation and adjustment of newly introduced programs in the arts sector’s faculties to ensure they meet societal needs. It emphasized that academic programs must meet labor market demands by providing relevant skills and specializations.Participants included Prof. Mona Hagres, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, representing Prof. Mostafa Refaat; Prof. Hassan Abdo, Chairman of the Arts and Music Education Sector Committee; Prof. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University; and several experts and specialists in the fields of arts and music education.In her opening speech, Prof. Reem Bahgat, EUI’s President, welcomed the attendees, stating: "We are pleased to host and sponsor the scientific forum of the Arts and Music Education Sector Committee, in alignment with the directives of H.E. President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi to develop college programs to integrate into the future sciences system. We believe in the importance of supporting the updating of academic curricula in this sector to keep pace with the changes and developments the world is witnessing in various fields and sciences."Prof. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, affirmed that the forum was held in the appropriate venue, thanking Egypt University of Informatics, which is one of the academic institutions keeping pace with future trends. He highlighted the benefits of diverse intellectual and specialized schools and the variety of study durations to ensure proper coverage of scientific aspects.Prof. Mona Hagres emphasized the significant role of arts and music education faculties in spreading music and art among the public, having produced generations of artists and musicians who enriched the artistic and cultural movement. However, with the rapid changes the world is experiencing, these colleges, like all other specializations, face new challenges that require planning to keep up with development and renewal to meet contemporary needs.Prof. Hassan Abdo noted that the forum was part of the state's vision to continually develop the strategy of higher education and scientific research in Egypt to achieve scientific and research progress that aligns with advancements in the developed world. This development, initiated in the late 20th century, has seen rapid progress, particularly with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digitization, and artificial intelligence.Prof. Ashraf Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design at Egypt University of Informatics, mentioned that the forum included four discussion sessions. These sessions addressed topics such as developing the internal regulations of arts and music sector colleges in the digital age, the future of design and creativity with digital technology, issues related to intellectual property rights for artistic works in the digital era, and the evaluation and adjustment of newly introduced programs in response to societal needs.Prof. Zaki added that the forum participants emphasized the need to protect the intellectual property of artistic works in the digital age by enacting unified international laws to protect these rights. Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) welcomed Prof. Hamid Magoul Al Naiemy, President of the University of Sharjah, and his accompanying delegation at EUI’s campus in the Knowledge City, located in the New Administrative Capital. The visit aimed to strengthen relations, explore avenues for mutual cooperation, and acquaint the delegation with the university and its academic and practical expertise in the fields of information technology and communications, data science, business technology, digital arts, and design.Prof. Reem Bahgat, EUI’s President along with the faculties’ deans, welcomed Prof. Hamid Magoul Al Naiemy, Prof. Essam El-Din Agamy, Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness  and Accreditation, Dr. Salah Taher Al Haj, Vice President for Community Affairs, and Ms. Iman Al-Hosni, Technical Attaché at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Cairo.During the meeting, both sides discussed all aspects that contribute to enhancing scientific and academic cooperation, exchanging mutual expertise between the two universities, and ways to support and develop scientific research in the fields of information technology, communications, data science, business technology, digital arts, and design.Prof. Bahgat highlighted the importance of the visit in contributing to broadening cooperation prospects between the two universities on all levels, noting that the University of Sharjah is one of the significant universities in the UAE, with strong ties in various fields with Egypt.She also reviewed the strategic directions of Egypt University of Informatics, aiming to empower the digital transformation ecosystem with highly qualified young cadres equipped with top scientific and practical standards that develop skills in line with future demands. Additionally, she outlined the advanced academic programs offered by the university to its students, preparing them with modern sciences in their specializations to lead the future.Prof. Bahgat emphasized that since its establishment, Egypt University of Informatics has focused on quality and excellence, creating a developed technical infrastructure for management and education. The university has attracted a teaching and administrative staff with outstanding expertise and diverse global cultures.The University of Sharjah delegation expressed their happiness visiting EUI, as it is one of the first specialized universities in the Middle East and Africa in the fields of communications and information technology and their related fields, aligning with the policy and vision of their own university.Prof. Hamid Magoul Al Naiemy praised the scientific and civilizational renaissance observed during his visit to Egypt University of Informatics, along with the advanced campus and academic and scientific programs.
