The world has come a long way in the fight against climate change and its negative impacts on our planet. We can now better understand the science behind climate change, assess its impacts, and develop tools to address its causes and consequences.” H.E Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, welcome note at COP 27 Conference.

In alignment with the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) to be held at the city of Sharm El-Sheikh during the period from 6th to 18th of November 2022, under the patronage of H.E President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi; Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) is glad to launch this hackathon powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for all universities students across Egypt, Arab Countries, and Africa, and under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) & The Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research. Students showcase an existential threat that can be controlled through collective actions and effective implementation of technology solutions to address different climate change and SDGs alignment challenges.

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, but since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change. Burning fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and gas) produces heat-trapping gases. Investors, companies, and communities are overexposed to climate-related risks, which hinder opportunities to make the best use of the climate. Climate change and our
