EUI offers Full Scholarships to Top Thnaweya Amma & Foreign Certificates Students

 

In the presence of His Excellency Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, EUI welcomed the top Thanaweya Amma & Foreign Certificates students of the 2024 high school graduating class at its campus in the Knowledge City, New Administrative Capital. The event aimed to introduce them to the prestigious academic programs they will receive at the university, the details of the full scholarships offered, and the advanced technological infrastructure, laboratories, and research centers that rival those of the world’s leading universities.

Dr. Amr Talaat held an open discussion session with the top students and their parents. He congratulated them on their remarkable achievements in high school and encouraged them to maintain this excellence throughout their university studies, aligning with the state’s vision of building a competitive generation. Egypt University of Informatics is noted for its comprehensive skill sets.

Dr. Talaat emphasized the importance of continuing their education with diligence, creativity, innovation, and passion to achieve further successes that the nation can take pride in. He highlighted that the state has invested significantly to develop and lead current generations, viewing them as the present and future hope and true wealth.

Dr. Talaat also praised Ahmed El-Gendy, a student from Egypt University of Informatics, for winning the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, affirming the university's commitment to supporting students in developing their skills across various fields alongside their academic studies.

During the open discussion, Dr. Talaat addressed students' questions about the skills required in the communications and information technology job market and mentioned the ministry’s initiatives to build digital skills in collaboration with global companies, offering training scholarships to university students.

The goal of Egypt University of Informatics in welcoming the top students is to empower top talents, encourage them, and support their continued academic excellence by joining the university to study future sciences. This aligns with their goals and aspirations to contribute to both local and global job markets with highly qualified graduates.

Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics, congratulated the students and their families on their success and excellence, which is the result of their hard work and perseverance. She wished them continued success and more effort in their academic and professional careers, offering them full scholarships to study at the university’s four faculties (Engineering, Computing and Information Sciences, Business Informatics, and Digital Arts and Design) as part of His Excellency President El-Sisi’s initiative to support outstanding students, supported by several banks and ICT sector companies.

She stated, "Good education will always be one of the best investments for the future, as it contributes to preparing and qualifying outstanding and creative young people like you." She emphasized that advancing education according to the highest global standards has been a top priority for the university since its inception.

Prof. Bahgat also affirmed that education is the foundation for building the future and the main pillar for comprehensive and sustainable community development. Egypt University of Informatics is among the leading academic institutions that meet the demands of the present and future, being one of the first universities specializing in communications, data sciences, and business informatics in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East.

The top students also received detailed explanations about the academic programs offered by the faculties of Egypt University of Informatics during the orientation day, attended by Prof. Ahmed Hassan, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Amr El-Masry, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Hoda Mokhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences; Prof. Sama Taher, Dean of the Faculty of Business Informatics; and Dr. Fatma Hamdy, Professor at the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design.

The top students expressed their happiness with their visit to EUI’s campus and the advanced facilities that align with their aspirations, expressing their gratitude and appreciation for this prestigious academic institution that offers them full scholarships. This came after their campus tour, where they learned about the laboratories, research centers, and the capabilities of EUI.
